Hello friends and family! I am going to attempt to keep a blog going again, and hopefully I will have more luck keeping with it this time around!

I just finished my first year at the Boston Conservatory! It was a great year! I performed in several cabarets and was lucky enough to play Sheila in Hair at school! I ended the year by participating in the freshman revue singing "Sun in the Morning" from Annie Get Your Gun with an awesome jazz quartet behind me. (Here are some youtube vids for those who couldn't make it!)

As for now, I find myself back in Maine working as a chambermaid during the day and performer at night at Quisisana Resort. If you knew me last year, you might have heard me mention that i was "never coming back"…. well, the Pines pulled me back in and by December I missed the lake and this wonderful place and decided to return. I have returned this time thought with a boyfriend (Phil) and some great friends (Gavin and Brian). Already the dynamic is amazing and this group of people are going to have a great summer (Not to mention there are more straits then gays this year…. I know… its crazy…)

We had our first Kezars night last night! That is the bar we all go to every Tuesday once the season starts! IT was a great night and proved this summer to be a very promising one as far as little to no drama and good times!

The musical this year is Damn Yankees. I am in the ensemble and Phil is playing Applegate. He is doing a great job and I'm very proud of him! The revue this year is themed. We are doing Sondheim numbers and I am so lucky to be able to sing "Not a Day Goes By" in this revue. It's an awesome arrangement mixed with "Losing my mind "(which is going to be sub by Molly Robinson) and "Anyone Can Whistle" ( being sung by Laura Black). We all sing our song and then it closes with our songs intertwined in a trio. It is really beautiful. "Im also in other numbers like "Cool" from WSS and "Broadway Baby". It is going to be a great revue I think =)

How do I feel about Chambermaiding again this year? Well, the hours are good and I know how to do it. I don't love it, but I am definitely going to keep thinking of the positives that come along with having this job. Hopefully next year I will graduate to Dining Room.

Well, I'm off to rehearse. I will try to update with photos and videos of what's happening here in the pines!

Miss you all, outside world.

Love,
Stef
